Based within Surgical Services in North Adelaide, you will deliver person-centred care across health settings, assessing needs, planning and coordinating services, and providing direct care or case management. Key Responsibilities

  • Assess individual patient needs, and plan, implement, and coordinate appropriate clinical service delivery.
  • Provide direct person-centred nursing care and individual case management while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Plan and coordinate essential healthcare services with other disciplines or external agencies.
  • Review the clinical assessments and decisions of Enrolled Nurses, Assistants in Nursing, and students, while supporting less experienced registered nurses.
  • Provide ward, team leader, or clinical coordination support as required on a shift-by-shift basis.

Skills & Requirements

  • Clinical Competence: Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the NMBA holding a current practicing certificate. Must show demonstrated competence in the relevant area of surgical nursing practice in accordance with appropriate standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Proven knowledge and understanding of the role of the Registered General Nurse/Midwife within a healthcare setting, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Communication & Leadership: Effective interpersonal communication skills, including proven problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills. Eagerness to mentor students and support junior staff.
