An exciting entry-level opportunity is available to join the official Talent Pool for Pool Lifeguards and Swim Teachers at the Alice Springs Aquatic and Leisure Centre (ASALC), operated by Alice Springs Town Council. Working on a casual basis, this expression of interest requires no prior industry experience. Council is seeking enthusiastic, motivated individuals passionate about health, fitness, and community service. Key Responsibilities

  • Participate fully in comprehensive training frameworks to obtain certified Lifeguard and Swim Teacher qualifications.
  • Maintain a highly alert, proactive presence to supervise aquatic spaces and ensure the safety of all facility patrons.
  • Deliver positive, high-quality customer service and engage politely with facility visitors, children, and families.
  • Assist with regular facility presentation, safety checks, and basic operational protocols under direction.
  • Support community swim programs, learning groups, and leisure fitness initiatives once fully trained.
  • Collaborate constructively with the broader ASALC facility team to maintain an inclusive, high-performing environment.
