The Limestone Coast Local Health Network is seeking compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Support Workers to join its growing Mental Health services across regional South Australia.
This opportunity allows you to support consumers through their recovery journey while working within a multidisciplinary mental health team. You will contribute to providing a safe, supportive and person-centred environment across the Wari-ngu Mental Health Service Sub-Acute Rehabilitation Unit, Community Mental Health Team and Inpatient Mental Health Services.

Required Education Level: Currently holds or who is eligible to hold a current practicing certificate or equivalent qualification in mental health studies, community services, disability support is desirable
Required Experience: Minimum 1 year experience supporting people experiencing mental health challenges, disability, community services or related care environments

Salary: AUD $58,709 – $63,154 per annum + Superannuation, Salary Packaging and applicable allowances

Key Responsibilities
Provide practical support and assistance to consumers accessing mental health services.
Assist consumers to achieve personal recovery goals and maintain independence.
Support daily living activities and promote wellbeing, dignity and community participation.
Develop positive and respectful relationships with consumers, families and carers.
Work collaboratively with nurses, allied health professionals and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
Assist in maintaining a safe, supportive and therapeutic environment.
Recognise changes in consumer wellbeing and escalate concerns appropriately.
Maintain accurate documentation and follow relevant policies, procedures and safety requirements.

Relevant Experience: Experience supporting people with mental health needs, psychosocial challenges, disability or community care requirements.
