About this opportunity

Sodexo is seeking an experienced Transport HSE Advisor to join its site-based team supporting transport operations across multiple locations in Western Australia. This permanent full-time FIFO role operates on an 8:6 roster and is ideal for a hands-on safety professional with experience in transport safety, risk management, and workplace health and safety systems.

The successful candidate will support Sodexo's Transport functions by conducting audits, risk assessments, safety activities, incident investigations, and improvement projects. Knowledge of mass transportation systems, including bus operations, and aerodrome safety requirements will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support site-based personnel across Sodexo's Transport operations with health and safety guidance.
  • Conduct workplace audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Complete incident investigations and prepare detailed follow-up reports.
  • Provide safety training, mentoring, and coaching to onsite employees.
  • Assist in developing and implementing safety systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote and contribute to a positive workplace safety culture across transport operations.
  • Participate in toolbox meetings, pre-start discussions, and safety engagement activities.
  • Support client-driven Health and Safety initiatives and portfolio improvement projects.

Skills & Requirements

  • Health & Safety Qualification: Certificate IV in Health and Safety.
  • Industry Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience working in a health and safety role.
  • Transport Safety Knowledge: Understanding of mass transportation systems, including bus operations, is essential.
  • Aerodrome Safety: Knowledge of aerodrome safety requirements will be highly regarded.
  • Training Capability: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or willingness to obtain.
  • Incident Investigation: Experience conducting ICAM investigations is preferred.
  • Driving Licence: Current WA Manual Driver's Licence required.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and workplace reporting systems.
  • Compliance: Ability to complete pre-employment medical requirements, including drug and alcohol testing.
