Key Responsibilities
Provide safe, evidence-based midwifery and nursing care to women, newborns and patients.
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care according to patient needs.
Support women and families throughout pregnancy, birth and postnatal care journeys.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve positive health outcomes.
Deliver compassionate, culturally safe and person-centred care.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with professional standards.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to service development.
Support education and professional development of colleagues, students and new staff where required.
Skills & Requirements
Professional Registration: Registered or eligible for registration as both a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
Clinical Experience: Demonstrated ability to provide safe and effective nursing and midwifery care.
Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and healthcare teams.
Clinical Judgement: Ability to assess patient needs and make appropriate clinical decisions.
