Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based midwifery and nursing care to women, newborns and patients.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care according to patient needs.
• Support women and families throughout pregnancy, birth and postnatal care journeys.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve positive health outcomes.
• Deliver compassionate, culturally safe and person-centred care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with professional standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to service development.
• Support education and professional development of colleagues, students and new staff where required.

Skills & Requirements

• Professional Registration: Registered or eligible for registration as both a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Clinical Experience: Demonstrated ability to provide safe and effective nursing and midwifery care.
• Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and healthcare teams.
• Clinical Judgement: Ability to assess patient needs and make appropriate clinical decisions.
• Patient-Centred Care: Commitment to respectful, compassionate and culturally responsive healthcare.
