About This Opportunity
Statewide Clinical Support Services (SCSS) is seeking motivated Pharmacy Assistants to join its pharmacy services across Adelaide. This entry-level Allied Health Assistant position provides hands-on experience supporting medication dispensing, pharmacy reception services and medicine distribution while working alongside experienced pharmacists and healthcare professionals.
This role offers structured training, excellent career progression and exposure to one of South Australia's largest public healthcare pharmacy services.
Job Summary
- Position: Pharmacy Assistant (AHA-1)
- Employer Name: Statewide Clinical Support Services (SA Pharmacy), SA Health
- Employment Type: Full-Time (12-Month Contract)
- Classification: AHA-1 – Allied Health Assistant Level 1
- Required Education Level: High school completion certificate and willingness to complete Certificate III in relevant studies or 6 month's training as part of the employment pathway to AHA-2
- Required Experience: No prior experience required / Ongoing job training will be provided
- Work Arrangement: On-site

- Salary: AUD $50,611 – $57,720 per annum (Pro-rata) + 12% Superannuation + Salary Packaging Benefits

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with medication dispensing and distribution for hospital patients.
- Provide reception and cashier support within the pharmacy.
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.
- Support pharmacists with daily pharmacy operations.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare staff.
- Maintain a safe, organised and efficient pharmacy environment.
Requirements
- Suitable for entry-level applicants.
- Completion of Certificate III (or willingness to complete as required).
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
