About This Opportunity

The Limestone Coast Local Health Network is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to join its expanding Mental Health services across regional South Australia. This is an excellent opportunity to provide compassionate, recovery-oriented nursing care while supporting consumers experiencing mental health challenges.

Registered Nurses will have the opportunity to work across the Wari-ngu Mental Health Service Sub-Acute Rehabilitation Unit, Community Mental Health Team and Inpatient Mental Health Services located throughout the Limestone Coast region including Mount Gambier, Millicent, Naracoorte, Penola, Kingston, Bordertown and Keith.

• Required Experience: Minimum 0–2 years nursing experience. Suitable for newly graduated nurses and Registered Nurses developing experience in mental health nursing.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate and person-centred nursing care to consumers experiencing mental health challenges.
• Complete clinical assessments, care planning and ongoing evaluation of consumer outcomes.
• Support recovery-focused mental health practices across inpatient, community and rehabilitation settings.
• Administer medications, monitor treatment responses and provide clinical interventions within scope of practice.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers and support workers.
• Develop therapeutic relationships with consumers, families and carers to support recovery goals.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with SA Health policies and professional standards.
• Participate in quality improvement activities, education and ongoing professional development.

Skills & Requirements

• Professional Registration: Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
• Mental Health Interest: Demonstrated interest in mental health nursing and supporting consumers through recovery-focused care.
