About This Opportunity

The Limestone Coast Local Health Network is seeking passionate Psychologists to join its expanding Mental Health services across regional South Australia. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a new purpose-built Sub-Acute and Rehabilitation Mental Health Service while supporting consumers through recovery-focused and evidence-informed care.

Available across locations including Mount Gambier, Millicent, Naracoorte, Penola, Kingston, Bordertown and Keith, this role provides the opportunity to work within multidisciplinary teams delivering person-centred psychological services across rehabilitation, community mental health and inpatient settings.

  • Salary: AUD $91,785 – $106,330 per annum plus Superannuation, Salary Packaging and applicable allowances

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality psychological assessment, intervention and therapeutic support to consumers experiencing mental health challenges.
  • Deliver evidence-based psychological services within recovery-oriented mental health programs.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including mental health clinicians, nurses, allied health professionals and support workers.
  • Support consumers through community-based, inpatient and rehabilitation mental health services.
  • Develop, implement and review individualised treatment plans focused on consumer recovery goals.
  • Provide psychological advice, consultation and support to families, carers and healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in clinical improvement initiatives, professional development and service evaluation activities.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation according to SA Health policies and professional standards.

Skills & Requirements

  • Professional Registration: Registered or eligible for registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • Clinical Experience: Demonstrated experience providing psychological assessment and therapeutic interventions within mental health settings.
  • Mental Health Knowledge: Understanding of recovery-oriented practice, evidence-based psychological approaches and contemporary mental health care.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage consumers, families and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
  • Professional Development: Commitment to maintaining professional knowledge, ethical standards and continuous improvement.
