• Salary: AUD $64,948 – $79,502 per annum + Superannuation and applicable benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate and person-centred nursing care to aged-care residents.
• Monitor residents during night duty and identify changes in their physical, cognitive and emotional wellbeing.
• Complete clinical assessments and contribute to appropriate care planning.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with applicable procedures.
• Respond appropriately to clinical incidents, deterioration and emergency situations.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and resident records.
• Communicate relevant clinical information during handovers and with the wider care team.
• Work collaboratively with enrolled nurses, personal care workers, carers, allied health professionals and other healthcare staff.
• Support residents' dignity, independence, cultural needs, safety and quality of life.
• Follow infection prevention, workplace health and safety and clinical governance requirements.
• Escalate significant clinical concerns to the appropriate senior clinician or medical professional.
• Contribute to a safe and supportive overnight environment for residents.

Essential Requirements

• Relevant nursing qualification.
• Current registration with AHPRA, where applicable to the candidate's professional status.
• Ability to demonstrate safe and professional nursing practice.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently during night duty while appropriately escalating clinical concerns.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary aged-care team.
• Commitment to person-centred and respectful care.
• Willingness to work night shifts and meet the roster requirements of future employers.
• Ability to satisfy applicable employment, police, screening, vaccination and other compliance requirements.
