About This Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for an Administration Support Officer to join the Volunteer Services Unit within the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN). Based at Northfield, this temporary full-time position provides essential operational and administrative support across both the Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre and Repat Health Precinct, helping ensure volunteer services operate efficiently while delivering exceptional support to patients, volunteers, staff, and the wider community.

The successful applicant will coordinate administrative activities, maintain accurate records, support volunteer onboarding, manage enquiries, organise meetings and documentation, and build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient administrative support to the Volunteer Services Unit.
  • Deliver flexible operational support to the Hampstead Volunteer Kiosk.
  • Respond professionally to enquiries from volunteers, staff, patients, and members of the public.
  • Create, maintain, and update accurate records, databases, and documentation.
  • Coordinate correspondence, routine reports, forms, and administrative processes.
  • Support volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and day-to-day administration.
  • Organise meetings, calendars, team resources, and administrative schedules.
  • Maintain confidential information with accuracy and professionalism.
  • Liaise with government agencies, contractors, volunteers, and external stakeholders.
  • Promote a welcoming, responsive, and customer-focused service environment.

Skills & Requirements

  • Administration Experience: Demonstrated experience providing administrative and customer service support.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other office software.
  • Data Accuracy: Excellent data entry skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Well-developed verbal and written communication with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Organisation: Ability to prioritise competing workloads, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Confidentiality: Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to build positive working relationships with diverse teams, volunteers, and stakeholders.
