About This Opportunity

Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) is seeking Administrative Officers to join its Outpatient Support Services across Flinders Medical Centre, GP Plus and Noarlunga Hospital.

This opportunity provides essential administrative support to outpatient services while helping deliver professional, responsive and patient-focused experiences. Successful applicants will work within a supportive healthcare administration environment and contribute to the efficient delivery of quality healthcare services throughout the Southern Adelaide community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Notify patients of clinic appointments and provide relevant literature prior to consultations.
  • Process patient referrals in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain accurate and efficient documentation relating to clinic requirements and patient files.
  • Provide professional, quality and responsive customer service.
  • Prepare notes, documents and information within relevant systems.
  • Support accurate maintenance of patient and administrative information.
  • Contribute to the development of new staff and trainees.
  • Provide assistance and advice regarding administrative practices, procedures and technical knowledge.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, patients, clients and external organisations.
  • Support the smooth day-to-day operation of outpatient administrative services.

  • Sound verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, clients and organisations.
  • Proven administrative and computing experience.
  • Competence using email and word processing applications.
