About This Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for compassionate and motivated Enrolled Nurses to join the Eyre and Far North Local Health Network (EFNLHN) at Wudinna Hospital. Multiple permanent part-time positions are available, offering 32 hours per week across a rotating 7-day roster. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care across acute, aged care and emergency presentations under the supervision of Registered Nurses.
  • Assess, monitor and accurately document patient conditions while escalating clinical concerns appropriately.
  • Support the development, implementation and evaluation of individualised patient care plans.
  • Provide compassionate support and education to patients, families and carers throughout their healthcare journey.
  • Administer medications safely in accordance with professional scope of practice and SA Health policies.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation using electronic patient record systems.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of patient care.
  • Promote infection prevention, workplace safety and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute positively to a supportive rural healthcare environment while maintaining high professional standards.

Skills & Requirements

  • Professional Registration: Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as an Enrolled Nurse.
  • Clinical Experience: Demonstrated capability providing nursing care across acute, aged care and emergency clinical environments.
  • Documentation Skills: Ability to accurately complete clinical documentation and confidently utilise electronic patient record systems.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to recognise changes in patient conditions and escalate concerns appropriately.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working autonomously within a rural healthcare environment across a broad range of clinical presentations.
