Key Responsibilities
Supervise, coordinate, and review daily maintenance activities to ensure work aligns strictly with safety protocols, specifications, and efficiency targets.
Plan, schedule, and prioritize preventative and corrective maintenance tasks to minimize critical equipment downtime.
Lead, mentor, and foster the professional development of maintenance team members on site.
Conduct routine equipment inspections and troubleshooting procedures to identify and resolve faults before they disrupt client operations.
Maintain highly accurate maintenance logs, performance reports, and statutory compliance documentation.
Promote, monitor, and enforce workplace health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across the facility.
Manage designated maintenance budgets, optimize resource allocations, and coordinate external contractors and specialist service providers.
Build strong working relationships with operational stakeholders to ensure site-wide maintenance objectives are achieved.
Skills & Requirements
Trade Certification: Must possess a recognized trade qualification in Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, or Carpentry.
Supervisory History: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience leading maintenance teams within mining, heavy industrial, or professional facilities management sectors.
Operational Competencies:
Previous experience working within a FIFO or remote operational setting
Strong knowledge of building maintenance systems alongside mechanical and electrical practices
Practical experience planning, scheduling, and executing preventative maintenance schedules
Proficiency using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Leadership & Compliance: Excellent interpersonal communication, problem-solving abilities, and a sound understanding of current workplace health and safety legislation.
