Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular vehicle parking patrols across public garages and street spaces, utilizing modern monitoring software to enforce traffic compliance.
  • Investigate public complaints regarding unattended stray livestock and companion animals, initiate humane impounding, and support service delivery at the Albury Animal Care Centre.
  • Track down and remove abandoned vehicles, unapproved structures, and localized hazards from public roads and community land.
  • Investigate allegations of illegal dumping, pollution incidents, and general contamination breaches affecting air, land, or water quality.
  • Issue official statutory penalties, infringements, compliance notices, and council orders in strict accordance with New South Wales legislation.
  • Maintain highly accurate legal registers, update investigative databases, and compile comprehensive evidence files for regulatory reporting.

Skills & Requirements

  • Proven track record operating within a regulatory, law enforcement, inspectorial, or municipal compliance environment.
  • Functional understanding of relevant state enactments, including the Companion Animals Act, Public Spaces (Unattended Property) Act, and NSW Road Rules.
  • Refined verbal and written communication style, with a demonstrated capability to engage calmly with diverse community members under challenging circumstances.
  • Strong computer literacy and technical aptitude required to navigate Microsoft Office applications and internal reporting systems.
  • Must hold and maintain a valid, unrestricted Class C Australian Driver’s License.
