The Repeat Neuro-Behavioural Unit (RNBU) at the Repat Health Precinct is seeking experienced Clinical Nurses to provide specialised care to older people living with severe dementia and complex behavioural symptoms.
As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide advanced clinical nursing care, contribute to assessment and therapeutic interventions, support individual case management and help maintain high standards of safety and quality. You will also provide clinical guidance and support to students, new staff and less experienced nurses while contributing to multidisciplinary care and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Provide advanced relationship-centred nursing care to consumers.
Support consumers experiencing severe dementia and complex behavioural symptoms.
Assess consumers and contribute to the selection and implementation of therapeutic interventions.
Support individual case management and care planning.
Evaluate consumer progress and contribute to clinical decision-making.
Apply mental health nursing knowledge and professional standards.

Essential Requirements
Registered as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds a current practicing certificate.
Demonstrated competence caring for consumers living with dementia and associated behavioural and psychological symptoms at very severe to extreme levels.
Demonstrated competence in mental health nursing practice in accordance with relevant standards.
Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
Ability to support and mentor students, new staff and less experienced nurses.
Ability to take different perspectives and respond constructively to feedback.
