About This Opportunity

Yorke and Northern Local Health Network (YNLHN) is seeking a qualified Podiatrist to join its supportive and dynamic Community Health team in Clare, South Australia.

This role provides the opportunity to work across a clinically diverse caseload, supporting consumers from paediatric patients through to older adults and residential care clients. You will have exposure to high-risk foot care, biomechanics, paediatrics, inpatient and outpatient services, NDIS, telehealth and residential care.

The position also provides opportunities for regional outreach across the YNLHN area while working alongside experienced multidisciplinary healthcare professionals with access to peer support, clinical supervision and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional podiatry assessment, treatment and care across a varied clinical caseload.
  • Support consumers across paediatric, adult, older adult and residential care settings.
  • Provide high-risk foot care and other specialised podiatry services as required.
  • Deliver podiatry services across inpatient and outpatient environments.
  • Support consumers through NDIS and telehealth services where appropriate.
  • Participate in regional outreach clinics across the YNLHN area.
  • Apply appropriate podiatric assessment and clinical intervention based on individual consumer needs.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Contribute to positive consumer outcomes and person-centred care.
  • Participate in service improvement activities and professional projects.
  • Support and contribute to student placement opportunities.
  • Maintain and develop professional clinical skills through ongoing learning and professional development.

Essential Requirements

  • Recognised qualification in Podiatry.
  • Registered with the Podiatry Board of Australia.
  • Meet the Podiatry Board of Australia's registration standards and requirements.
  • Eligible for full membership of the relevant professional association.
  • Ability to provide safe, person-centred and evidence-based podiatry care.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a broad and clinically diverse caseload.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to undertake regional outreach as required.
